Need and effectiveness of childcare leave with MC

Mr Louis Ng Kok Kwang: To ask the Prime Minister and Minister for Finance whether his Ministry has conducted a study on the need for and effectiveness of the provision of childcare sick leave to civil servants.

The Civil Service regularly reviews its leave provisions to meet the needs of officers. The utilisation for childcare sick leave has remained steady at around 50% over the years, and remains relevant for officers.
