Visit by HKSAR Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam

VISIT BY HKSAR CHIEF SECRETARY FOR ADMINISTRATION, MRS CARRIE LAM

Chief Secretary for Administration, Hong Kong SAR, Mrs Carrie Lam, is in Singapore from 30 Jul to 2 Aug 2013, at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in charge of the Civil Service, Mr Teo Chee Hean. She is here to gain a better understanding of recent developments in Singapore, particularly in the areas of community, education and housing.

Mrs Lam was hosted to lunch by DPM Teo, where they exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including population challenges, vocational education, elderly housing and waste management. She also called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and was hosted to dinner by Ms Grace Fu, Minister (Prime Minister’s Office) and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs.

On Friday, Mrs Lam will also call on Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, and meet Acting Minister for Social and Family Development Mr Chan Chun Sing.
